Deck the Halls.......with Vengeance

A perfect way to bid adieu to our Summer mayhem:  The lobby of the Regis Center for Art has been transformed into a den of curiosities for the first few weeks of Fall classes.  Passersby may marvel, scoff or vomit at our lowbrow masterpieces, but hopefully all three.

See ya next time kiddos.

DAY NINE: In which we unveil our Video Vengeance!

Or heroes have mustered every bit of strength within in them to complete these beautiful works - so naturally we want to show them off!  Many department faculty, students and staff have dropped in to see the projects take shape.....but now it is time to unleash them on the masses.

Check out the video (for better quality click here) and pics below!  Warning:  The flavor of this particular Vengeance may be to sweet for some viewers to endure!

Watch those steps !

The BFA Juried show taking place across the way was a perfect event to crash.....we got a variety of responses, but we honestly didn't mean to scare any little kids.

Some of the creators were not present, so our gracious intro students stepped up....

DAY EIGHT: In which our heroes are greeted by inquisitive visitors.....

Mr. Del Valle wanted to bring his tasty sculpture class to gaze in awe at our creations.  And so he did thusly, and a brief benevolent interaction engaged henceforth.   And it was good.....

.....and the event was met with unbridled enthusiasm......

....and a child was born.  Britta celebrates the completion of her "Man giving birth to a baby from his mouth" mask.

DAY SEVEN: From the Print Cave To the Streets!

On this, our seventh day of this very good Blood Vengeance exercise, many of our champions are ready to present their completed masks (and/or full body extensions) for the class and the world to behold.......

.......some of which required a fair amount of wrangling.......

........at which point our fearless leader P to the M, led a mini-blood vengeance parade to the streets........
......and there was a great race.........

......and many passersby were like: "whut?" Like this lady.......
Who's in there - oh dang is Sensei Paula......

 ......and there was another race........
.....and this one guy was like "hell yeah!"

........and it was a good day.   Tune in for final project pics and Video coming right up.
